⛏️ Former head chip maker at Canaan launches new Ethereum ASIC
Chen Min, the former chief chip maker at Canaan Creative has launched Linzhi, a new company to build crypto miners. Dubbed Project Lavasnow, the first product, a new Ethereum mining device claims to use 1/8 of the power used by Bitmain's competing ethash miners. It also expects to run 1,400 million hashes per second, compared to 190 from one of Bitmain's devices. At present, the company is still working on developing the product and customers may begin receiving their miners in April 2019.
