Facebook sees Libra tied to dollar, euro, yen but maybe not yuan

Facebook Inc. has told U.S. Senators that the initial basket of currencies included in the planned Libra stablecoin will include the U.S. dollar, euro, British pound, Singapore dollar, and Japanese yen but likely not the Chinese yuan. The ultimate decision won't be made by Facebook, but rather the Libra Association which might launch the digital currency outside the U.S. even if regulators inside the U.S. still have concerns.
