Documents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office suggest that Facebook acquired a trademark for the name "Libra", the name of their secret cryptocurrency project according to reporting from The Block and The Wall Street Journal, from a small cryptocurrency tax company. The small company has recently rebranded to "Lukka", and a new owner amendment for "Libra" was filed on April 20 with Facebook's Will Road address listed.
