⭕️ Facebook reverses ban on crypto ads, continues block on ICO promotions

Facebook has updated its policies to allow cryptocurrencies to be advertised on its website while continuing to ban promotions of initial coin offerings (ICOs). The company published an announcement on June 26th, 2018, stating that ads from pre-approved advertisers would be allowed to promote cryptocurrencies and related content. Advertisers will be required to complete an application that discloses any relevant licenses or business background in order for Facebook to approve them. This recent update reverses a ban from Jan. 2018 that placed a wide-reaching ban that Facebook saw as associated with misleading or deceptive practices.
