Facebook has applied for a NY BitLicense
Facebook's Calibra has applied for a New York BitLicense to operate within the state, according to Reuters. Calibra, the Facebook subsidiary and wallet for digital currency Libra, has also applied for a money transmission license in the U.S. and with FinCEN as a money service business. Facebook has been in contact with numerous international regulators including the Bank of England, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority, and Switzerland's FINMA.
