💸 Exchange says $200K in Ethereum Classic lost as blockchain attacks continue
Cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io has announced that it will absorb the loss of 40,000 Ethereum Classic ($ETC) worth approximately $200,000 after blockchain rewrites continue to occur. An ongoing 51% attack on the Ethereum Classic blockchain started on Monday and had previously been confirmed by Coinbase, which paused send and receive transactions.
