Evernym receives a $2 million investment from Overstock's venture arm

Overstock subsidiary Medici Ventures invested $2 million in Evernym, a company bringing digital identity solutions to blockchain networks. The investment was part of Evernym's Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE), which will be transferred into preferred stock at a future date. Regarding the investment, President of Medici Ventures, and newly appointed Overstock CEO, Jonathan Johnson stated:

“Evernym is bridging the gap between the siloed approach to identity and true self-sovereign identity...Evernym’s platform allows every person, organization, and connected thing to have an independent identity … and will help advance our government-as-a-service technology stack for civilization.”

Medici Ventures' portfolio also includes other identity-focused companies Netki and FinClusive.
