eBay denies rumors that it will accept crypto despite advertising at a crypto event
eBay has denied rumors that it will start accepting cryptocurrency payments, Bloomberg reports. Speculation about this development as increased in crypto circles since eBay took out ads at Consensus 2019 in New York. One of the ads read: "Virtual Currency. It's happening on eBay." An eBay spokesperson said, "Cryptocurrency is not accepted as a form of payment on the eBay platform, nor is it part of our payments strategy.”
