Cryptojacking still huge, but in decline, says new report

According to a new report by cybersecurity firm Check Point cryptojacking, where malware is used to hijack compute power in a browser, is on the decline. Check Point noted that in the first half of last year 42% of all organizations worldwide had been infected. That number dropped to just 26% for the first half of this year largely due to the shutdown of popular cryptojacking service Coinhive.
