Congressman Emmer plans to to reintroduce a tax bill focused on hard forks
U.S. Representative Tom Emmer plans to reintroduce a bill that benefits taxpayers who hold coins created through blockchain forks, or hard forks, CoinDesk reports. Emmer noted that Congress’ job is “getting government in line” so that the blockchain industry can innovate and create jobs. Emmer also emphasized the importance of talking to regulators because many of them have misconceptions about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.
