Coincheck plans to launch IEO platform to help firms raise funds via utility tokens

Japanese crypto exchange Coincheck is planning to launch an initial exchange offering (IEO) platform, following in the footsteps of Binance, OKEx, Bittrex, and others. Coincheck says it will only accept projects with utility tokens, and not securities tokens subject to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act of Japan. Coincheck was acquired by Japanese brokerage Monex Group in April 2018 after suffering a $530 million hack.
