Cannabis supply chain blockchain patent filed by Israeli infrastructure security firm
A patent for a supply-chain focused blockchain for cannabis has been filed in the United States by Security Mattes, an Israel-based infrastucture and information security firm. The patent covers the use of a proprietary chemical solution for marking plants with a "hidden barcode," which can be completed prior to planting or during any six stages of plant growth, ZDNet reports. This chemical barcode can be used to "mark" any object, according to the report, whether a solid, liquid or gas.
