Calibra tech lead says Facebook picked Rust to implement their new blockchain Libra
Calibra tech lead Ben Maurer explain on Reddit that Facebook chose the programming language Rust to develop their new blockchain after starting from "a blank slate." In the Reddit thread, Maurer says, "As a project where security is a primary focus, the type-safety and memory-safety of Rust were extremely appealing."
