According to a report from Reuters, Brazil's antitrust regulator is launching a probe into alleged monopolistic practices at six major banks. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) is hoping to find more details on whether, and why, the countryโs largest banks closed accounts owned by crypto trading platforms. CADE notes that while it is necessary for banks to take action when there is an indication of crimes committed by account holders it is not reasonable to restrict access for all crypto related companies without taking into account the compliance and anti-fraud policies of individual platforms.
