Boston Fed announces plans to design a blockchain ‘supervisory node’

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston will begin building a 'supervisory node' for watching on-chain transactions on multiple blockchains. One of twelve banks in the Federal Reserve system, Boston's Fed arm has been dabbling in crypto and blockchain technology since 2016. The reserve plans on building out the theoretical platform this summer, with Boston Fed’s senior vice president Jim Cunha noting the team is 'starting from scratch' on this particular project.
