BitMEX restricts access to Seychelles, Hong Kong and Bermuda

BitMEX, the largest crypto-derivatives platform by liquidity, announced the addition of three jurisdictions to its restricted access list in a blog post on Monday. Seychelles, Hong Kong and Bermuda, all locations where BitMEX has offices, will be added to this list, which "will have no financial impact on the business and will affect very few people," says the company. Regulatory compliance is the overarching reason for this change. BitMEX explains:

The increased involvement of regulators with all the major players in the industry is not only to be expected, it is to be welcomed. It is the mission of good regulators to ensure that honest citizens are not being cheated.
