BitMEX and Tether are working with Blockstream to support Liquid sidechain

BitMEX is working with Blockstream to support deposits and withdrawals of Liquid Bitcoin (L-BTC) from Blockstream's Liquid sidechain, according to an announcement from Blockstream. BitMEX's efforts are part of a pilot program for Liquid members, Blockstream explains. Liquid was first introduced on October 2015 to improve liquidity and security in bitcoin exchange markets. Tether ($USDT) also plans to launch their stablecoin on Liquid.
