🔒 BitGo approved to custody cryptoassets

Crypto security and wallet service BitGo has received approval in the U.S. to act as a qualified custodian for digital assets. The approval comes after a failed deal to acquire Kingdom Trust earlier this year which led BitGo to build its own solution in-house. Technically the approval was made in the state of South Dakota but many states allow reciprocity, meaning that BitGo could use this approval elsewhere. After a 30-day period, during which the general public can file an appeal against the decision, BitGo will start to custody customer assets.
