Bitfinex asserts NYAG made ‘misleading’ claims of jurisdiction in new case filings
Early July filings from Bitfinex parent company iFinex further claim the NYAG has lack or jurisdiction and exaggerated recent claims, according to The Block. Per the filing, iFinex says certain entities the NYAG singled out have accounts in New York used for transactions but were themselves foreign entities not culpable under the Martin Act.
