🇪🇺 Bitcoin not linked to terror attacks according to Europol
In a new report titled Organized Threat Assessment 2018, Europol finds that while Bitcoin has been tied to several illegal operations online, including terrorism, it has not been used to finance any terror attacks in Europe. The report did, however, find that some Jihadist networks had solicited Bitcoin donations from users. These funds were primarily used to support low-level infrastructure, like maintaining and hosting websites.
