🔑 Bitcoin exchange HitBTC freezes customers’ accounts ahead of Proof of Keys event
HitBTC, the cryptocurrency exchange, has frozen customer accounts according to multiple sources. Reddit users PEDXS and LOOKATMYIQ claimed their funds had been frozen without warning as they prepared to participate in the annual Proof of Keys event. Proof of Keys calls crypto traders to individually hold private keys on Jan. 3rd to expose insolvent or nefarious third party services.
