Bitcoin Cash's scheduled hard fork is tripped up by a software bug

Bitcoin Cash's ($BCH) schedule hard fork appears to have caused an unexpected network split after the fork's block height, which resulted in the first several blocks mined with 0 transactions, CoinDesk reports. This event was first noted on Twitter by BitMEX Research using their Forkmonitor tool. Poloniex tweeted that they paused withdrawals and deposits during the incident.
