🐛 Bitcoin bug exploited on testnet, chain-split ongoing

On Bitcoin’s testnet, a serious bug has been exploited to effectively double spend an original amount of 0.1 BTC. Even worse, some nodes have not updated to the latest version creating a testnet chain-split with both versions of Bitcoin having roughly equal hash rates. This same vulnerability could have been exploited on Bitcoin’s mainnet if the CVE-2018–17144 bug was not patched earlier this month.
