Binance CEO CZ is suing VC giant Sequoia for reputational damages
Binance CEO Changpeng 'CZ' Zhao has filed for an immediate hearing before the High Court in Hong Kong over reputational and money damages stemming from a late 2017, early 2018 Series A fundraising dispute with Sequoia Capital. At the time, Sequoia Capital accused CZ of breaching the contract by talking with a rival VC firm, IDG Capital, with the claims later being dismissed following arbitration. A June 25th hearing will assess CZ's claims of reputation and funding losses due to the court action.
