Beam, a newly released privacy-oriented cryptocurrency, has discovered a "critical vulnerability" in its software wallet. Using its Twitter account the project urged users to uninstall the application immediately and redownload an updated version. The announcement specifies that the vulnerability found in the wallet software was discovered solely by the Beam developer team “and not reported anywhere else.” In a post on Discord, CTO Alex Romanov said that “the issue was already fixed” and that miners and nodes are unaffected.
