Investors are a small subset of people using crypto, says Galia Benartzi, a Bancor co-founder, at the recent Token2049 conference. Most people that use successful Internet products adopt them because they want real use now instead of investment for future profit or a developing use case, she adds. Billions of users will more easily adopt "crypto" when the tokens can be used for things like back-stage concert access, and they won't think of it as "crypto," they'll think of it as an everyday product, according to Benartzi.
