Announcing the Messari Student Research Competition
In cooperation with BlockVenture Coalition, we are now accepting submissions for the Messari Student Research competition. Top submissions can win up to $1,000 in bitcoin.
The winners will be determined by a panel of judges including Ryan Selkis, Anthony Pompliano, Meltem Dimirors, and Dani Grant. All participants will also receive a free 3-month subscription to Messari Pro. The competition is designed to give students an opportunity to think critically about important topics in crypto that they are most interested in. For those looking to break into the space full-time, they will have the chance to get their work in front of some of the biggest names in the space.
Instructions:
- After reading the official rules, select one of the following prompts:
The Steelman: Give the strongest bull and bear case for the same asset (or broader crypto sector, i.e. privacy coins, DeFi, etc.)
The Signal: Create a high signal metric that no else is talking about using Messari’s API or screener and track that metric’s performance across assets
- Sign-up for Messari Pro by creating an account on Messari with your student email and then filling out this form
- Submit a comprehensive Research report to research@messari.io by May 1st.
- Submissions should be no more than 1,500 words with quantitative data to support the conclusion. Charts and graphs are highly encouraged.
- The submissions will be judged on the following criteria:
- How compelling the argument is (33.4%)
- Originality and uniqueness of thoughts (33.3%)
- Integration of Messari’s data and analytical tools (33.3%)
- The tools available include asset profiles that detail information such as a project's history, roadmap, token usage, fundraising rounds, technology etc., asset screener that allows a user to sort and filter across hundreds of assets and metrics, and API to download historical data.
