Analyst Takes: Post-Election Insights

Carlos Gonzalez Campo

November 5th marked the beginning of a new era for crypto in the US. Beyond the presidency, a majority of pro-crypto candidates were also elected for the House and Senate.

With a unified government, we likely see clearer regulations regarding stablecoins, exchanges, and token-related business, attracting an influx of talent and capital into the industry.

Over the coming months, I expect to see the following:

  1. Fee-switch proposals for DeFi governance tokens.
  2. Standardized valuation methods.

While a “DeFi Renaissance” may be underway, I don’t think it significantly changes the sector performance dynamics of this cycle.
