Tokens are not equity, but people expect tokens to behave like equity. This confusion is often caused by the fact that most cryptoassets behave like pseudo-equities with regards to ownership and control, which leads to conflicts of interest between owners and less powerful owners.   Conflicts of interest are avoided when ownership and control are clearly defined such as in security tokens and leaderless networks. Treat the properties of tokens literally.
