[Analysis] Lighting Network - Where Is The Justice? - BitMEX Research
The Lighting Network ensures integrity through 'justice seizures' of dishonest channel funds. Since its inception in late 2017, BitMEX Research claims 241 justice seizures amounting to 2.2 Bitcoin ($BTC) have occurred. Many of the 241 seizures can be chalked up as tinkering with the network though. Still, BitMEX claims the available data shows a reasonable degree of justice on Lightning. Without counter-measures Lightning could not become the payment network envisioned.
