Questions concerning Ethereum ($ETH) and up-and-comer Polkadot, a scalability and interoperability protocol, are ruffling feathers among the two communities. Regardless of its launch in late 2019 and Polkadot's plan to build a bridge between the two ecosystems, developers and proponents of the systems are lobbing bombs across the aisle. Barbs between the two sides have grown so contentious as to even force out an Ethereum developer, Afri Schoedon. The two systems share key infrastructure ideas but deviate on a few issues like governance models for parachains or the ability to tweak shards. Enough of a deviation, apparently, to leave customers with the option of waiting for Ethereum 2.0 or Polkadot.
