Crypto firm Circle recently made a big purchase: 1,743,602 satoshis worth of Domino's pizza. For fun and for marketing purposes, Circle threw a team pizza party with custodial wallet BlueWallet which neatly pairs Bitcoin ($BTC) with the Lightning Network. New applications, or lapps, built on top of the fledgling Layer 2 payment protocol like Tippin.me or Satoshi’s Place are showing the promise of not only microtransactions, but a quicker, Bitcoin-based payment system for ordinary purchases.
