A 'Cult of the Coin' has developed within the crypto scene, with adherents blindly following leaders down destructive paths, according to Adam Caudill. Certain oddities within cryptography, like the infamous Bitcoin ($BTC) block #528249 argument of June 2018, expose proponents zealotry in a field that should be dominated by objectivity and growth. Adherents of different coins often focus on the leader, whether Satoshi Nakamoto with Bitcoin or creator's of any other altcoin project, to the fault of the entire system. A shift in motivations is needed to grow the field in the right direction toward ideals, not passions.
