📝 [Analysis] An open letter on scaling Bitcoin - Joseph Dallago

In this letter, Joseph Dallago of Bahrain's Rain Financial supports Nic Carter's vision of crypto institutionalization. An insight first espoused by Hal Finney, Dallago believes that history itself shows consumer dependence on custody services. The mantra "Not your keys, not your coins," ignores real user needs in favor of cypherpunkian philosophy. One great feature of Bitcoin ($BTC) for both cypherpunks and newbies is the wide range of custody options available, from self-management to full-service. Custody has also recently been mirrored in technology: reverting to pre-cloud services today is a ridiculous notion. Monetary policy is the strike against banking and the larger financial scene, not custody: if the industry is to grow, this distinction needs to be understood.
