Amberdata discovers 'RPC Call' bug in Parity Ethereum client

The second most popular Ethereum ($ETH) client, Parity, was discovered to have a bug that could have forced the shutdown of thousands of nodes. The vulnerability effected nodes with publicly-facing Remote Procedure Call (RPC), a protocol for requesting data from third-party computer programs. Only a small portion of Parity clients have RPC enabled, and an upgrade was released to fix the issue.
