📝 A new bill wants to give the Federal Trade Commission $25M to go after crypto’s bad actors

A new bill introduced by U.S. Representative Darren Soto (FL-D) would hand $25 million over to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to weed out bad actors in the digital asset market. An earlier report by Politico said the bill would give authority superseding the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, a point corrected by a Soto spokeman. The bill would not change any existing regulations on digital assets.
