Surebits, a Lightning Network startup, has launched a micropayments Lightning system for Bitcoin ($BTC) futures data from Kraken and BitMEX. The API allows users to subscribe with small payments, a possible model for the future of monetizing information content. While the data from Kraken and BitMEX is typically free, Surebits believes the model will catch on as Lightning adoption increases.
