Cognitive Computations is an open-source AI research collective founded by Eric Hartford that develops the Dolphin and Samantha families of instruct-tuned language models. The collective is known for releasing uncensored, steerable open-weight models fine-tuned from foundation models including Llama, Mistral, Qwen, and Phi, along with the accompanying training datasets. Its work underpins Dolphin AI's model lab and the models served across Dolphin Network.
