Hiro PBC (formerly Blockstack PBC) is the public benefit corporation that creates developer tools for the Stacks Ecosystem. The company was founded in 2013 by Muneeb Ali and Ryan Shea to develop the core protocols that underlie the current Stacks blockchain. It has since rebranded to Hiro PBC and refocused its development efforts as the Stacks network transitions from a company-managed chain to a decentralized one.
