European Commission SME Instrument program

European Commission SME Instrument program

The SME Instrument, part of the EU's Horizon 2020 program, provides funding and support to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) for innovation projects. The support includes funding for feasibility assessment and innovation projects, as well as coaching services and help with commercialization. To be eligible for support, businesses must meet the definition of an SME, with fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover of no more than €50 million. Funding is available in two phases, with amounts varying depending on the project.
