G20 officially supports FATF’s crypto guidelines that require exchanges to share customer data

The G20 has officially accepted the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) crypto guidelines at their recent summit in Osaka, Japan. The 19 countries plus the European Union had already notified their intent to accept the FATF rules, but officially confirmed them at the summit: "We reaffirm our commitment to applying the recently amended FATF Standards to virtual assets and related providers for anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism.”
